Cala Conta
Cala Conta and Racó d'en Xic or ses Platges des Comte (“count”) is situated at 13 kilometres from Sant Antoni de Portmany, located between Punta de sa Torre (with Torre d'en Rovira) and Escull (“Reef”) de ses Punxes. In front of its coast you can see s'Illa des Bosc, sa Conillera (the small island with the biggest size of Pitiüses, 7,29 sqm), s'Espartar and ses Bledes. This area belongs to the Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès de sa Conillera, which goes from es Port des Torrent until Cala Tarida, with an extension of 335 hectares.
This wonderful and beautiful coastal stretch is characterized by the not too big size, clear fine-grained sand, exposed to the winds of the third and fourth quadrants, gentle slope, crystal clear water, sandy ground which invite to dive.
You are recommended to visit sa Conillera and only anchor in s'Estància de Dins. This beach is located in the eastern area and exposed to the winds of the first quadrant. You should anchor at one hectometre from the coast on a rocky ground with seaweed where the depth ranges from six to 15 metres. The navigation between the small islands and Eivissa is dangerous.
The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at about 50 metres.
These characteristics explain that the beach is very crowded by local visitors and tourists.
