Cala Vedella

Cala Vedella or Vadella is situated at 10 kilometres from Sant Josep de sa Talaia, located between the calons d'en Real and de s'Oratge, as well as below the village of Cala Vedella and Serra de Cala Molí.

This beautiful s-shaped sea inlet is characterized by the good size, with a beach of fine-grained white sand, a gentle slope (at 30 metres from the coast there is a depth of 1,5 metres), and it is surrounded by cliffs, populated by pine trees, as well as residential houses which reach the coastline, and it is sheltered from the wind.

The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are excellent in the centre of this bay, on a sandy ground with seaweed, where the depth ranges from eight to 12 metres. In the northern area it might be dangerous and there is a sandbank which you have to avoid in the entrance toward this beach, where there is a depth of 21 metres. You also have to keep an eye on the emerging rocks next to the cliff of the natural breakwater in the south.
The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at half a hectometre.

These characteristics explain that the beach is not too crowded by tourists.
