Cala Llenya

Cala Llenya (“cove of the wood”) is situated at 10 kilometres from Santa Eulària des Riu, between Cala Nova and Punta d'en Ribes, as well as next to the village of Can Jordi. The name is given by the thick pine wood which surrounds this natural setting and nearly reaches the coastline.

This u-shaped sea inlet finishes on a triangular beach with fine-grained golden sand. At the rear you can find a thick pine wood and the dry Torrent des Coix, as well as a track, a bit hidden by the vegetation that takes you to the nearby Cala Nova, where there is one of the best camping places of Eivissa.

This sandy area has clear water and the slope is not too steep (at 15 metres from the coast there is a depth of one metre). It is open to the wind from the east which is quite strong, and which normally blows from the sea and makes the swell grow a lot. These conditions explain that you have to be very careful if you want to swim or anchor a boat on the sandy ground. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic des Canar.

The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at half a hectometre.

These characteristics explain that the beach of Cala Lenya is not very crowded by local visitors.
